The Union Station Barbershop's Unforgetable Opening Night

September 16, 2014 marked the opening of The Union Station Barbershop, a New York inspired barbershop located at the second floor of The Link, Makati Ave. If you think barbershops are only for men, it's time to change that perception. This one is also for women. In fact, it is a bonding place for the whole family where they can share wonderful moments together.

The celebration was not simple. In fact, it was a gala night where great food and drinks were served. There is no doubt that the event was given so much time and effort to make everyone feel special - a reflection of how you will be treated when you step your feet at the station.

After a while, a mini fashion show that featured top models was held; and the hair experts of TUSB also participated in the program. They were shown fixing the hair of the models as they do the catwalk. Now, I find that really cute.

That was also my first time to meet Lourd Ramos in person; the ever-creative salon specialist and the driving force behind the success of Creations. I was surprised when he immediately approached me and said, "Hi! I know you." He dazzled that night with his warm smile, not showing any sign of tiredness while accommodating every guest.

There was an innovative photo booth by Baicapture where everyone can pose and get copies of their pics. It has a screen that will let you know if it's time to "Say Cheese" and show you a preview of the images taken before they get printed.

The bloggers were given loot bags and discounted to free services to experience the majestic and innovative accommodations of the barbershop. Ross Del Rosario of Wazzup Pilipinas was given a sample of singeing, which is part of The Union Station Barbershop's inventive haircutting procedure. They said that this technique came to the Philippines for the very first time. Thanks to The Union Station Barbershop for introducing it to us.

It hasn't been a very long night. Everything is fast paced but it surely is memorable. I am honored to be a part of this once in a lifetime event that gave birth to a station that is unlike any other.
